An AI answered the phone and got it wrong. Tell us what happened.
More businesses every month are handing their phone line to an AI. Most of them have never heard it fail, because the person it failed is you — and you hung up and went somewhere else.
We audit these systems for a living. We're collecting what actually goes wrong out in the world, so we can test for it properly.

Small stuff counts. "It couldn't understand my street name and I gave up" is a real failure with a real cost to that business, even though nobody would ever file a complaint about it.
What we do with it — and what we don't
- We look for patterns. Which failures repeat, across which kinds of business, and what a test call would have to do to catch them.
- We may publish what we learn in aggregate — "here are the five ways these systems most often fail" — and we'll ask your permission on the form before quoting anything you wrote, even anonymously.
- We won't publish the business's name, or yours, or build a public wall of shame. These are one-sided accounts and we can't verify them; publishing them as fact would be unfair and legally reckless.
- We won't contact the business about your call, and we won't sell them your name. If you want them to know, you should tell them.
- We won't call anyone on your behalf. We only ever place test calls to lines our own customers own and have authorized in writing.
If you're actually trying to reach a human right now
This page won't help with that, and it'd be annoying of us to pretend otherwise. What usually works:
- Say "representative" or "agent" plainly, then stay quiet — many systems escalate after two failed turns.
- Pressing 0 still works on a surprising number of them.
- Call back and say nothing at all. Silence often routes to a person faster than talking does.
- If it's a medical or dental emergency, don't negotiate with the phone system — use urgent care or emergency services.
